Spotlight Artist Kre8tor
Exodus
Magazine's spotlight artist is Double Edge Ministries, Kre8tor. Kre8tor was born in
Rochester, NY. At an early age he gave his life to Christ and was blessed with
the gift of writing/producing and arranging music for the Lord. As
time progressed Kre8tor slowly started straying away from the things of God and
became apart of the same environment that he hated, growing up. The
street-life was teaching him about drugs, money, women, theft and guns.
Those things took the place of God, which was first priority. But God did
not disappear in his life, because once you have experienced a relationship with
Christ you are never truly the same. Many years passed and from time to
time the Lord would speak in attempt to take him off the path of destruction to
the path of life, but Kre8tor continued down that path a while longer.
Kre8tor soon moved to California to pursue his music
career, he built his name in the secular arena, he was the producer for the
artist Game formerly of G-Unit. He became the main producer for the Game's label
"Black Wallstreet". Kre8tor knew that being apart of this label, people
would label him as a gang banger, and he did not want to be apart of any useless
violence, he felt that being apart of this label he would be selling his soul
for money and fame and he did not want to go down that path. Kre8tor
struggled to land that deal he hustled to pursue, doors were partially opened
but it was not apart of Gods plan for Kre8tor to be apart of the secular world.
One day the Lord spoke to him, and Kre8tor decided to go back home to NY, and do
the will of God. He now realizes that it was God's voice calling him home
to get away from all of the mess he was apart of. Kre8tor feels that God
allowed him to go through these things in order for his testimony to touch the
people that his hearts cry's out for. So Kre8tor shut down his secular label and
started Double Edge Sword Ministries where he is creating music for the honor
and glory of Christ with the same energy he gave to the world. Double Edge
Ministries focuses on reaching the lost souls, that are addicted to street-life,
their mission is to show them the power, love and salvation through hip-hop
music. Kre8tor is currently working on his solo album "The Battle" that
will be in stores early 2008 so make sure to look out for a man of God who has
all the elements to overcome the world.
